Wake Robin Residents' Association
Mission of the Wake Robin Residents’ Association
- Oversee “resident-run” committees and activities
- Arrange funding for allowable expenses
- Act as sounding board for residents with new ideas, changes to existing resident programs, concerns for the Board to address (augmented by Suggestions and Concerns Committee)
Note: Definition of “resident-run”: Residents appropriately initiate and govern committees and activities in which residents have an interest and wish to participate, working through the WRRA.
The Wake Robin Residents’ Association, Inc. (wrwrra.org) is an independently incorporated nonprofit organization that enables the vibrant life of the resident community. The Residents’ Association is on the campus of Wake Robin, Vermont's Life Plan Community, an inclusive community designed to let you be yourself and live the life you choose.
Wake Robin Residents’ Association Purposes/Goals
- Promote the common interests of residents
- Promote the well-being of the wider resident community
- Communicate and cooperate with the Wake Robin Corporate Board, the Wake Robin President/CEO, and the administrative staff to promote a healthful, enjoyable, trusting, and vibrant community life for all residents
- Promote resident committees and activities consistent with the Wake Robin philosophy (“Inclusive community designed to let you be yourself and live the life you choose”)
Wake Robin Residents’ Association Structure
- Membership – Any/all person(s) having a signed Residence and Care Agreement with the Wake Robin Corp., including 25% depositors, shall be, ipso facto, a member of the WRRA.
- Governance – Board of Directors, comprised of:
- Officers: President, Vice President, Past President (last-preceding President), Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer
